While hiking in the Roaring Brook Wildlife Refuge, I crossed paths with an
Assassin Fly on the hunt. Also known as a Robber Fly, it buzzed just in front of me and caught a moth roughly the same size as itself. I was fortunate enough to have it land on a nearby leaf with its prey and captured this photograph.
